I had the opportunity to work with Ibby first as a volunteer and later as an employee of the non- profit organization Mindfulness Peace Project (formerly known as Ratna Foundation), for which I served as the Executive Director. She was the Director of Business Development and Evaluation during two of the foundations’ major projects; the Ratna Peace Initiative, and the Veterans Peace of Mind Project. She did background market sector and academic research for, and wrote several grants during, her tenure at Ratna. She also organized a team of collaborators, researched, designed the survey research methodology for, wrote, and served as the Principal Investigator for a National Institute of Mental Health grant to support exploring Mindfulness Meditation as intervention for post-traumatic stress in US combat veterans. In addition, she managed many marketing, communication, administrative, website publishing, and maintenance activities. She also organized and produced two successful benefit concerts for the organization. Ibby is very detail oriented and has a dedicated focus and work ethic. She has outstanding research, writing, editing, and communication skills, and I would highly recommend her as a writer and editor in any number of content areas.

I hired Elizabeth as a technical writer to document business processes at kbkids.com. She was highly skilled at both documenting the company’s business processes and at communicating with the SMEs to understand these processes. She created 16 user process documents during the time she worked for me there. Her business acumen helped by allowing her to question process owners in depth to create this documentation. She is an excellent writer, editor, and communicator. I met Elizabeth (Ibby) while she was working at <a href=”http://kbkids.com/”><strong>kbkids.com</strong></a> where I was Director of Systems Architecture.  I later worked with her at the Managed Application Service provider start-up Nupremis.  This was an incredibly fast paced start up with a diverse portfolio of managed products being marketed on a monthly revenue model.  She began there as a tech writer, was promoted to Manager of Process and Documentation, and then promoted to Director, Product Strategy and Development in under a year.  Ibby is a highly skilled analytical thinker, writer, and communicator, with business acumen that allowed her to grasp both the big picture and the relevant details in any given situation.  She’s a self starter who can visualize an end goal and get you there.  During the time that I worked with her, I saw her successfully manage a diverse range of projects and responsibilities, including writing and/or editing product business cases, product marketing plans, technical white papers and other technical documentation, sales product training guides, and marketing copy.  She was highly skilled at communicating with company SMEs, stakeholders, and executives.  She was an effective manager, and contributed significantly to the company’s overall business strategy, goals and focus.  Her work contributed to improving the company’s bottom line by providing timely and actionable input to the organization, allowing the company and its customers to be more successful.
